I just had another thought regarding Jesus. If Jesus was a demon pretending to be Jehovah, then following him would be a sin and Jehovah says you should be put to death for it. But if Jesus was actually Jehovah then you are following Jehovah. However, if you do not follow Jesus and he is a demon and you follow Jehovha instead, then you will not be committing a sin. And if Jesus actually is Jehovah and you don't follow Jesus then you are still following Jehovah anyway. So therefore it makes more sense to be a Jew.
Demons and Jehova are not real so it doesn't matter.
>>14994 That's not the point, it's interesting to think about these things.
>>15002 I don't think so. It's shit from an old religion from a far away desert that was thought up by ancient desert people for other ancient desert people. It's unreasonable.
>>15003 But lots of people think it's important, even lots of people that don't live in deserts.

>>15004 They'd be better off thinking about their lives instead of imaginary fantasy beings, but that's a topic I really shouldn't complain about.
>>15005 Thinking about imaginary beings is fun.
>>15004 Yeah and I wonder why. They constantly have to bend, reinterpret or outright disregard most of the Scripture because it does very rarely apply to modern life in a Western 1st world country. It was always meant to be taken literally but that's not possible anymore today so why hang on to it? >it's just a metaphor! Wasn't intended as such, people back then just didn't know better and believed in magic and spirits and stuff.
>>15018 Yeah, for entertainment purposes, not to base your whole life and beliefs on it. It's fine to learn morals from stories and myths but Faith, spirituality and religion are more than just learning about moral what-ifs.
>>15024 Morals? I don't care about that lol.

>>15029 And that's why you are missing the entire point.
>>15301 It's not about the is a motive behind it, all I care about is the truth. Such things as morals are transient and malleable, the truth is absolute.
>>15349 Truth and moral truth are one and the same thing. What you are echoing is a modern, arguably degenerate take. I think it's one big reason why many find modern life pointless.
>>15506 Okay but is killing gay men natural law or not?
>>15510 Believe in Christ and your conscience will tell you what's right and what's not.
>>15513 So you are saying that if somebody believes in this demon they can make up whatever they want and say it's natural law? That's not really natural law then is it...
>>15514 >So you are saying that if somebody believes in this demon they can make up whatever they want and say it's natural law? No.
>>15513 Can you also do the right thing without believing in Christ?
Bernd, what if I tell you that the pneumatics simply KNOW and FEEL without having to think and wonder? They simply are without needing to try.
>>15542 They are making things up to suit their own interests.
>>15540 Yes, it requires preserving innocence, which is almost the same thing as faith. But man is too curious, and life is harsh, therefore evil finds a way sooner or later. I think Peterson lays it down accurately here https://youtu.be/Pwk5MPE_6zE?si=AuhYB3YqvuVHHUTD&t=2780 (timestamp: 46:20) The whole video is a good introduction to Christianity for someone with a rational mind, I think.
>>15639 No this too vague. I wont watch your video, sorry. There is still no reason to be Christ.
>>15647 How is it too vague?
What if Jesus came to free you from Jehovah, ie. he came from the father not the prince of this world? "I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming, and he has no claim on Me"
>>15648 It does not show why explicitly Christ is the solution. It just says it is because it is.
>>15652 I don't understand, if Jehovah is the father and he comes form the father how can he free the world from the father? The Prince of this world must refer to somebody send by Jehovha to counter the evil spread by Jesus.
>A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. Wow, that's sexist.
>>15693 >if Jehovah is the father and he comes form the father how can he free the world from the father? This cliffhanger will be resolved in the next season of "Funny Desert Stories", only on VatikanHub.
>>15712 We already had the next episode, the one set in Arabia. But that didn't answer anything and only added more conflicts in the lore.
>>15715 Oh i thought this was just a goofy spinoff. Welp, it's just fiction anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
>>15655 Because Christ beat death? How do you think you will feel about the world, so long as you believe life is an accident and death is the final word? You will quickly reach the conclusion that life is pointless, which is arguably the correct conclusion given the premise. If life is pointless then nothing has value, good and evil are the same thing, justice is "a human concept", so on and so forth. How can you "do the right thing" then? Either your morality is window dressing, or your heart clings to hope while your brain thinks otherwise.
>>15765 >given the premise Yeah given that premise you need your god. You see, i dont believe that. I dont spend all day thinking about that until i need a god to calm down. >Because Christ beat death Wtf? Is this some Harry Potter Magic?
>>15783 So you're happy as long as you don't think too much. Good for you.
>>15765 We must imagine Sisyphos happy. That's just how it is, look for any stone to roll up a hill and enjoy the only life you get, the universe owes you nothing.
>>15790 >you don't think too much No. I think about useful stuff.
>>14993 It doesn't make sense to be Jew because none of that is real and even if it was, Jehovah would be an evil god who you shouldn't be following.

I took this nice picture of Hillchurls and wanted to post it somewhere so I will put it here. >>15765 Vanpires, Zombies and Skeletons beat death too. >>15801 If following him gets you to heaven then it doesn't matter if he is evil.
>>15856 >If following him gets you to heaven It doesn't. Heaven is just bullshit he made up so you would be his bitch.
