Can some of you metalheads recommend me songs which go well to Warhammer 40k? And I mean actual songs, no ambient music.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AW2nuWf7Ps is this song or ambience?
>>15598 Its fitting, but it has no lyrics. I'm an almost 40 year old GMV cutting cringelord.
>>15600 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPUWQVrb9VU is this edgy enough for horus?
>>15600 Too much like Rammstein, but the Industrial direction makes sense. Its not easy I guess. I thought of something in the direction of https://youtu.be/1in8qvTLSos?list=RD1in8qvTLSos but not as endlessly long (song is fucking awesome btw).
The logical answer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcaIsK6cyvk
No actual songs, sorry. But here for something martial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZQgipqfZDU and here for something (I think) directly inspired by the dark mechanicum https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zBYAputVOU If you check out a single Vulta song I recommend Conglomerate of Madness. Whole album is great imo and tbh.
>>15634 Oh shit I didnt even consider Synthwave. That gives me ideas.
>>15675 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wJHAeL3iq4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w698EUp6_KY Couple more albums that I think fit the bill.
>>15683 Perturbator was my idea.
>>15686 Are you doing a music video of sorts?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39sAIzrbmk8 More about WH Fantasy, but still fitting.
>>15690 Most likely, but I won't post it. In my age you dont make such videos.
>>15753 It's never too late to have fun.

Why are there so many people that listen to ambient music? What's the deal with that? I can't even understand why this is even a thing. Especially the entire metal ambient music thing, I don't get it at all. I've tried several times to listen to it and to ''get it'' but it never works. I like catchy songs, pop music specifically, and it seems like dark ambient music is the polar opposite of that. Burzum and stuff seems really popular not only just in fringe internet communities but also in real life, there's a fad of wearing Burzum shirts and I just can't for the life of me understand how anyone can listen to that kind of music and actually enjoy it. What's even the setting required to enjoy such types of music? Put it on and lay in your bed enjoying it? I really don't get it.

>>15763 >Put it on and lay in your bed enjoying it? Yeah, I like doing that with some good headphones for more fuzz.
>>15763 >Burzum and stuff seems really popular >What's even the setting required to enjoy such types of music? Put it on and lay in your bed enjoying it? Funny you'd say that, because that is exactly how Varg the Vikernes understood his music.
>>15763 It is mostly creative/imaginative people who like the atmosphere it creates. Ambient music is also ideal for video games, love putting on dungeon synth for retro RPG's for example, or the soundtrack for the first two Fallout games.

There are loads of warhammer themed bands, from the top of my head Bolt Thrower and Baneblade (be advised these guys got a bit political). You can check metal archives as well: https://www.metal-archives.com/search?searchString=warhammer&type=band_themes
