Why are torrent sites constantly getting DDoSed? Who benefits?
How can you DDoS Bittorrent? Isn't the point of P2P that it's decentralized? t. retard
>>27429 It still needs a centralised tracker that organises the peers.
>>27429 >>27431 And a site to share the torrents.
>>27432 >a site to share the torrents. I rarely use one of those anymore. t. qbittorrent search plugin user.
Piracy is a crime, if you didn,t know.
It’s only GGn, other trackers are fine 99% of the time
I have discovered it's some autist sperging out because he got banned. It looks like the admins are all afraid of him too lol
>>27844 How do you even DDos a site like that? Doesn't everyone use some DDOs protection nowadays?
>>27845 I suspect the admins are just not that great at what they're doing. A year or so back it took them months to sort out an expired certificate because no one knew how to fix it.
>>27845 Actually, DDoS protection is remarkably simple. You simply host multiple frontends in multiple data centers that are connected to your upstream via VPN. It's hard for spammers to take down a distributed service and DC operators have an interest in keeping their networks functional. The problem is mostly incompetence and crappy software, e.g. stateful web frontends that do not play nice with stateless deployments.
>>27845 Most DDoS services that are worth their money wont work with piracy related sites
>>28469 DDOSGuard does
