I never understood bernds who don't like news on IBs. I remember there were such people on old KC. To me news is one of the main components of IBs.

The General responded to three posts. The poster seems to have postet a wall of text. Nobody wants that. You can use archive.is or other sites to save the newssite and post that link. It's like the use of pastebins in forums and chats. Walls of text are very disruptive. Like my wall of text now... TL/DR: This is a IB so long walls of Text would be not readed and are disrupting.
